Duvan is passionate about music (seriously). He's already starting to show some good rhythm, and loves every kind of instrument (naturally, the banging, noisy ones are high on his list now). He's really got the hang of these cymbals as well, and loves to bang them together really hard!

Well, what would a posting be without Duvan's curious stretch for the camera. Bar the evasive actions from Dad, we'd soon have an entry "Curiosity killed the camera"

"Druk die gogga". Duvan loves to bang the red ladybird so the activity center starts to make noise. He'll come halfway across the house to come and press the bug! (In fact, it used to be a great way of distracting him from the lure of the stairwell, but alas, the lure is winning out these days). As soon as the music starts, he'll normally start bopping up and down to the music. Since his Grandma van Tonder and Great Grandma visited, they used to "dance" with their feet whenever the bug made music - now he also will intently watch everyone's feet in the room to see how we're all dancing to the music!

We've told you before how Duvan loves to put things together that belong together. He will consequently promptly return your shoes when you kick them off to relax a little :). He will also persist until you finally have them on your feet again. :)

Duvan recently developed the skill of standing on his knees, which comes in handy for height sometimes. He definitely makes him look more like a little boy!

Duvan loves to play with a belt - it was not bought in a toy store, does not have all the nice colors, and didn't take millions of dollars of research into how it would best stimulate every single brain cell he has. Perfect!

We had a nice family gathering around Grandpa van Tonder's birthday. Duvan got a hold of Minneola, and before long dug into it. It's funny, he still has a light reaction on his skin to milk products, so you'd think that he would get a rash from gnawing on the skin of this citrus fruit, but he seemed to love it.

We had to show you this series of shots, for the different smiles that Duvan gave his Ouma Kowie, who brought out the giggles by throwing a soft toy onto his head.

Duvan loves to play with his spoon and bowl, pretending to feed himself. In fact, if he had his way, he would be quite content after "eating" a full plate of food, not even noticing that all the food is on his lap, not in his tummy!

Here's the newest fun game. Hiding the tennis ball underneath the couches, and then getting Mom or Dad (or Grandma) to get it out from underneath! Duvan loves to roll the ball under the couch, and then drops on his tummy, shown here, to look for the ball. He then comes up, sits straight up, throws his arms in the air and goes "Taph!", which sounds remotely similar phonetically to "Weg", meaning, "Gone!". :) One of his favorite games, which his Ouma Martie taught him, is to hand the ball to you if you stand behind the couch, then drop on his tummy to see how you roll the ball to him underneath the couch.
